Videos now play inside the chat on Linux. This update also lets you flag a conversation, and chats busy with animated emoji, GIFs, or video use a lot less CPU than they did.
Press play without leaving the chat
When someone shares an .mp4 or .mov video, you can play it right there in the conversation. Pictures saved as .jpeg show in the chat now, too.
Flag a conversation
Once you flag a conversation, it gets an icon next to it in your chat list, so it's easy to pick out from the rest.
In the contact menu
Two new contact options
A contact's menu has two new choices, "Appear Offline and Block" and "Appear Online Always". There are three fixes as well: the typing indicator no longer gets stuck on screen, read receipts Pro draw correctly on high-DPI displays, and muting or unmuting a channel on another device now carries over here too.
Get the update
Once it's installed, flag the chat you keep losing track of.
