Trillian 6.6 for Linux lets you edit a message after you've sent it, or delete it. Silent sending and the JoyPixels 11 emoji come along too, plus a round of fixes for Wayland.

Edit a message after you send it Pro

Linux: a chat window with one of your sent messages open for editing

For the times you type 3:00 and mean 2:00, you can now fix the message itself rather than sending a correction after it.

Or take it back

Linux: a chat window with the Delete option showing for one of your sent messages

Some messages are better unsent. Pick Delete and it's gone from the conversation.

What else is new

You can send a message silently, too, so it reaches the other person without a sound or a notification. Hover over a channel to see its display name, real name, topic, team, and member count, or over a team for its member and channel counts and its purpose. Emoji are updated to JoyPixels 11, and link colors adapt to each message bubble, so links stay readable on every accent color.

On Wayland, opening links or menus no longer crashes Trillian, and auto-away works across desktop environments. The tray icon appears reliably on KDE and modern GNOME, Ubuntu included. Trillian opens again without trouble after you've quit it, and the chat view stays steady instead of going blank or flickering when you resize the window. Sending a message scrolls to it even when you're far back in history, and you can pick @mention and slash-command suggestions with the mouse or the keyboard.
